She reached out her hand towards the apple, a hiss coaxing her. She held the fruit in her shaking hand and brought it up to her lips. Suddenly time sped up as the world  disappeared around her,  Gods voice trembled through her "...and he shall rule over you." (Gen. 3:16) Events flashed before her, foreshadowing  as to what may come...

"All men bring your women here!" The Greek coarsely yelled. It was the first Olympic event of the year and one could feel the excitement of the citizens of Athens charging the air. Men fought to prove themselves to fathers of rich women. Others fought for their lives, but all agreed the frail women shouldn't be allowed to participate in the games. The roaring of the crowd grew louder; men came forward again and again to meet their deaths...

His presence silenced everyone in the room as the Duke of Somerset softly whispered something to the king. The king remorsefully announced to the room, "It is a girl". The court took a breath in as whispers picked up, filling the room as if teeming with bees. The celebratory tournament was canceled; it was a girl, not a boy. The engravings were corrected to read the baby's name, "Princess Elizabeth". The buzzing picked up, a mother's pitiful crying boomed; Gloriana was born...

They all smiled in agreement as they set off to the Alberta Legislature. It was the year 1916 and women finally had the vote in four Canadian provinces. It had taken thousands of years and women were finally considered people....

Eve moved the apple from her lips, pausing with disbelief. The feeling of righteousness filled her veins. She put the apple down and moved away from the tree. Adam ran up next to her, comforting her figure. Suddenly he reached down to the apple, as if in a trance and took a bite. Horror filled Eve, as the male species was cursed with oppression, and forced to forever endure being known as the inferior sex.
